Engage a Geospatial consultant to assist with all your spatial data analysis needs.
Here at Terralab, our GIS consultants are capable of handling end to end spatial data analysis workflows. We can obtain authoritative data and produce geospatial and statistical interpolations for your chosen project area. Or, if you have your own spatial data, we can liaise with you to determine an ideal workflow that will result in your desired outcomes. We can easily work with data in a vareity of formats.
We have proficiency with the following providers; Esri (ArcGIS Pro, ArcMap, ArcGIS Online), QGIS, MicroStation, AutoCAD, Global Mapper, MapInfo, and more.
Consider engaging one of our GIS consultants to consolidate your spatial data, perform your spatial analysis and unlock the hidden insights within.

Automating workflows for processing GPS data
Performing spatial data analysis on threatened species data to identify conservation opportunities.
Objective:
To automate a workflow that processes infrastructure and mobility mapping data from the field.
How:
Our client’s mission requires them to undertake comprehensive data collection involving infrastructure features and path quality/type fro a specific city/suburb. Initially, this client contacted Terralab as their workflow suffered from exhaustive manual handling and a poorly designed database. Firstly, TerraLab dialogued with the client to produce a standard scema for their data that suited their needs. Second, existing data was efficiently populated into the new database. With data organised, we were then able produce automated processing models which could easily be applied to their data collected from the field, clean it, organise it and create a finished product. Once field data collection is complete, our automated workflow simply takes over and the job is done.
Result:
Automating this client’s end to end workflow decreased the overall project delivery for our client. In addition, processing through Terralab comes at 30% of the previous processing cost per project.
Objective:
To prepare a conservation plan for a site that is based on spatial analysis of threatened species data and highlights priority conservation and restoration sites.
How:
TerraLab was engaged to create a methodology to meet the objective listed above. As a first step, spatial data of the threatened species was consolidated into a geodatabase at the site and regional scale. Key ecological variables that influence the species were identified by TerraLab ecologists and the relevant spatial layers obtained from the web. Spatial analysis was performed which produced a set of species preference models at the regional scale. These were merged and weighted together to produce an overall conservation model for the region, and at higher resolution at the site. Core areas of the conservation model were identified and corridors linked between them. Multiple iterations of this modelling was performed with the best performing models selected for use in the final conservation plan. The outcomes were matched against extant vegetation on site to identify priority areas to conserve, and locations where improvement to the native vegetation was required.
Result:
TerraLab’s GIS consultants performed this spatial data analysis timely, and well within budget. The final conservation plan included a series of raster and vector layers that were published into maps and a final report interpreting the findings. The client now uses the outcomes of this spatial data analysis in their day-to-day planning of their conservation activities.
