For the 3rd consecutive year TerraLab were honoured to take out the Business Innovation category at the Bass Coast Business Awards for the STA logger. The consecutive achievement has led the us to be inducted in to the inaugural Hall of Fame.
From the TerraLab Director, Harley Schinagl on the achievement:
“Each year we have sheepishly accepted the award. We had self doubt and wondered whether it was simply luck. Then, after the awards night, we take the time to reflect on the previous 12 months and we take stock of what we managed to achieve and it leaves us feeling all the more content and fulfilled with the decision. The Hall of Fame is no different, but this time we are looking back on the past 3 years, when we were exiting the initial throws of Covid and the STA logger was barely two years old. Our staff number was a quarter of what it was now and as well as some domestic customers, we had a small presence internationally. Today, we've grown in size, and international customers make up the majority of our STA logger user base. We've won 5 awards in 3 years and have demonstrated the feasibility of running an international technology company from a regional area of Australia without a traditional bricks and mortar office.
It didn't just happen though. Every team member's sweat is in this and none of it would have happened without their support, and their external support networks.
It's important to us that we celebrate this. What might seem like a small piece of recognition is a massive boost to our collective morale and is the metaphorical thumbs up and grin from a peer. Our local government, the Bass Coast Shire Council, the sponsor NBN Co and particularly Business in Bass Coast are the wind in our sails. Thank you for the recognition.”
TerraLab are now ineligible to win the award in future years paving the way for a new organisation to take the title.
